How to create slide show in Windows Media Center

Start Media Center, scroll down to Pictures + Videos menu and click on Picture Library.
Head to the ‘slide shows’ menu by scrolling the mouse wheel. You can see the ‘Create Slide Show’ option under the Actions option. Click on it to get started.
Give a name for your slide show and click on the Next button.
The Windows Media Center remote users can bring up the onscreen keyboard by clicking on the OK button. You can navigate to the keyboard components using the directional buttons and click OK to select the currently highlighted letter.
Select Picture Library by the radio button and click Next.
If your picture library have multiple folders, select the folder from where you want to add the pictures. This will show up all the pictures from that folder. Select the image you want to include.
The selected images will be marked by a tick sign. Remote users can navigate through the pictures with the directional buttons and click OK to select. Once you are finished, click on Next.
This is the final stage of this creation where you can review your additions, reorder them using the arrows pointing up and down or delete them if you wish using the cross buttons. Even, you can decide to add more pictures from the Add More[*] button.
[*]Note: Clicking on the Add More button gives you two options: Adding of pictures and adding musics.
If you are satisfied with your work, click the Create button to complete the procedure.
Adding Music to the Slide Show
Click on the Add More option and select Music Library from the list. Click on Next.
Select the song from the Music Library before you click the Next button.
Once you are done, click on the Create button.
How to play that slide show
After the creation, you can play it by navigating to the ‘slide shows’ option under Picture Library and then clicking on the title.
You should see the option to play your slide show. Simply click on that.

How to Export the slide show from Windows Media Center

Now, if you want to export your slide show to show it in a different computer, you can burn it into a DVD/CD. Do the same that you did to play the slide show and scroll across your mouse to highlight ‘actions’. Under actions, you should find the additional commands option which contains an option ‘Burn a CD/DVD’.
Changing the Settings for the Slide Show
You can however change the settings of the slide shows from media center to make the show more useful as your need. For that purpose, go to Tasks menu within Media Center by scrolling your mouse over the Media Center window and click on ‘settings’.
Then click on the item ‘Pictures’ from the list.
Now, choose Slide Shows.
Though you can make a few number of changes in settings, you can still decide to show pictures in random order or not as well as using of pan-and-zoom effect. There is also the options to fix the duration for each picture to show as well as to change the color of the background.
Make sure to save the changes by clicking the Save button before you exit from there.
