Best New Features of Windows 10 January Build (9926)
Actually, Microsoft has included plenty of new features and updated several existing features. Let’s check them out.
Spartan Browser
Even after having a better web browser called Internet Explorer 11 (At least, IE 11 is better than IE 9 or earlier versions), Microsoft has introduced a brand new web browser that is known as Spartan. Although, this is still under development but Windows 10 January Build users can easily check it out. This web browser is pretty different from other regular browsers. Although, some features are copied from other browser but still it can stand out.
You can add annotation so that you can share pictures a little bit faster, read your favorite article in a destruction free mode (reader mode), use Cortana and do many more things. Know more about Project Spartan at here.
Cortana
This is the most exciting feature of Windows Phone. However, now, Windows 10 PC and tablet users can have this digital assistant app on their machine. You know that Cortana works something like Google Now and Siri. Nevertheless, Cortana will be working better than any other digital assistants will. To activate Cortana, you just have to say “Hey Cortana”. That’s all. After that, Cortana will do anything for you right from your Taskbar.
2-in-1 Start Menu
Windows 10 is compatible with PCs and tablets. Being a cross platforms OS, Windows 10 comes with a 2-in-1 Start Menu. The previous Start Menu of Windows 10 is already there in the new build. However, that is only for PCs. When you will switch to tablet mode or touch mode from Keyboard mode, your Start Menu will changed right away. A new Start Menu will be appeared on the Metro Screen. You can find a consolidation of Metro Screen and Start Menu on your screen.
“Settings” App
No, this is not a new feature at all. But, what is new is its workflow. You know that Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and initial build of Windows 10 Technical Preview have two different “Settings” pane to set up different things. For example, if you want to make any change in your User Account, you would have to go to “PC Settings” by pressing “Win + I”. On the other hand, if you want to make any change in Network adapters or anything else, you must have to go to Control Panel. But, new “Settings” app will let you control everything at one place. If you have checked the User Voice of Windows 10, you might have noticed it earlier.
Xbox App Sync
Although the dedicated “Xbox” application has been available on Windows 8 and later versions of Windows, but that app didn’t allow users to synchronize games and other things. The enhanced Xbox app will help you to play games and do other things across multiple devices. That simply implies if you are playing a game on Xbox gaming console and want to resume that on PC, you can easily do so. That is where it excels.
