If you are an Indian, all you have to do is dialing *325# (or *fbk#) from your mobile. After dialing that, you will be needed to enter the Facebook username and password. It will complete the authentication process and you will be then able to access Facebook by sending various commands based on pre-defined numbers. The numbers refer to the commands to use Facebook, chat with Facebook friends, add people at your profile etc.
This facility is only available on Airtel, Tata Docomo, Idia, Aircel in India.
This can be tiresome to read the Facebook news feeds or you have to go for a long way to read a message on your profile. But this is good for sending status updates or chat with your online friends from your old mobile on the go. The pricing also reasonable as it needs a daily One-Rupee subscription.
How to search Google via SMS
This is fact that there are lots of Indian users who still do not have mobile phone with internet connection. But Google is pretty much aware of that and they have the option of searching Google via SMS.
The Google SMS is sometime interesting as you can get the translated feedback in the search result by just mentioning the language when sending the search SMS. For instance, I would send “Happy Birth Day in Spanish” to get the exact translated form of that in Spanish.
All you’ve to do for using this service is simply sending your query via SMS at 9-77-33-00000. The more interesting and life saving thing about this service is that it is not any premium service which cost higher than the usual SMS.
According to Google blog, they do not charge for the incoming messages. They just charge the normal SMS cost for sending the message from your mobile.
