How to Use My Chrome Theme
Using My Chrome Theme is pretty simple and easy. First of all, head over to Chrome Web Store and install My Chrome Theme. Once installed, a new app icon will appear with other chrome apps in a new tab page. Launch the app and click on Start Making Themebutton.
The first step requires users to import any image they want to use in the theme either from their computer or use the webcam to capture one. Just import the image from your computer and it will show you a preview of the image. If you want, you can adjust the position of the image and add effects to it.
Click on Image Effects and it will show you all the available effects that you can add to your image. Select the one you want to use and click on Done. Click on Continue to Step 2 when you are done with the positioning of the image.
Step 2 is all about adding colors to your theme. You can customize the colors of three different areas of your browser: New tab page, background tab and frame color. Just click on the brush arrow and select your desire color. As you select the colors, it will automatically change it right away to show you how it will look in the final preview. Do note that you cannot use the same color. If you are not sure which colors to use, just click on the I’m Feeling Lucky button and it will automatically select the colors for you.
Now, proceed to the final step and name your theme. Write the name and click on Make My Theme button.
After the theme is created, you can either install it right away or share it with your friends.
Conclusion
My Chrome Theme can be a very useful app when it comes to making your own Google Chrome Themes without any coding knowledge. It may not give users advance options to play with but it can still create neat themes that you can use on your browser. The best thing about it is that you can select your own desired color scheme with your set of images and create your desired theme in less than 5 minutes.
